Some Thoughts on Unity

I was preaching on unity last night and I broght up the illustration of Sam and Ralph. Many Christians are guilty of being just like Sam and Ralph.

Sunday morning comes and we go to church just like punching a time clock. Hello Sam. Hello Ralph. Unity in the church is much more than just punching the time clock.

  1. Unity is vital for the church to be effective.
  2. Power flows through a unified church.
  3. Unity means that everything is not always going to go your way.
  4. Satan attacks unity.
  5. We must look for ways to unify our church.
  6. Unity is when God knits our hearts together with one common thread - Jesus.

I’m going to work on this list…

Unity is when we can look beyond our individual differences and still come together for the glory of the Lord. :)
